Compact traction. Precise control. Built for rapid deployment.

The FareTec CT-7 Leg Traction Splint is a compact, lightweight traction system designed for the stabilization and transport of patients with mid-shaft femur fractures.

Developed as the next generation of FareTec's compact traction-splint platform, the CT-7 combines a simplified strap layout, increased-diameter carbon tubing and a precision threaded traction mechanism in a system that weighs approximately one pound and packs into a 12 × 4 × 4 in. transport bag.

Unlike conventional traction splints that extend beyond the patient's foot, the CT-7 is designed with zero extension beyond the foot, reducing its overall footprint during patient movement, transport and evacuation.

Works on Adults, Pediatrics and "Below the Knee" application

Precision Threaded Traction

The CT-7 uses a threaded traction mechanism that allows traction to be applied gradually and adjusted in small, controlled increments.

Instead of relying on a pulley-and-line system, the operator rotates the traction mechanism at the foot end of the splint to progressively apply and fine-tune traction.

The result is a simple, controlled system designed to make adjustment straightforward during patient care and transport.

Compact by Design

The CT-7 was engineered to reduce the bulk traditionally associated with traction splints.

Packed size: 12 × 4 × 4 in. / 30 × 10 × 10 cm Weight: Approximately 1 lb. / 0.45 kg

Its compact dimensions make the CT-7 well suited for:

EMS jump bags • Tactical medical kits • Military aid bags • Rescue vehicles • Helicopter operations • Search & Rescue • Remote medical teams

Zero Extension Beyond the Foot

One of the CT-7's most distinctive design features is that the frame does not extend beyond the patient's foot.

This shorter overall footprint can make patient movement and positioning easier in confined environments such as:

  • Ambulances

  • Aircraft

  • Rescue vehicles

  • Litters and stretchers

  • Confined-space rescue environments

  • Tactical evacuation platforms

Simplified Application

The CT-7 eliminates unnecessary lines and excess strapping found on many traditional traction-splint designs. The system incorporates:

  • An ankle hitch

  • Ischial / upper-thigh strap

  • Adjustable leg straps

  • Precision threaded traction mechanism

  • Increased-diameter carbon support tubing

  • Compact transport bag

FareTec designed the CT-7 for rapid deployment, with an application time of under 30 seconds when used by trained personnel under appropriate conditions.
