LifeBox50 Users Manual
For use with Cold Therapy Items, Blood Units and Temperature Sensitive Medication.
Designed to maintain appropriate payload temperature for extended periods of time. Provides a Warm or Cold environment, as necessary depending on the contents and ambient temperature.
It is recommended that a cooling or heat source be used to extend the appropriate payload temperature duration.
A Small LifeBox is issued with one 500ml. Gel Pack.
A Standard LifeBox is issued with one 1000ml. Gel Pack.
A Large LifeBox is issued with a 500ml. and 1000ml. Gel Packs.
These can be frozen in a typical freezer unit. When in use, they are designed to stay at a temperature just above freezing; as to not freeze or damage the payload.
Directions:
1.) Insert the recommended Gel Pack into the LifeBox50 along with the necessary supplies for transport. It is recommended that Cold Therapy items and Blood units be preconditioned to their appropriate temperature prior to insertion into LifeBox.
2.) Once these components are inside the LifeBox, the lid should be closed, latched and locked if necessary.
3.) The Payload temperature can now be monitored from the digital thermometer on the front of the unit. It is recommended that this be checked on a regular basis.
The LifeBox will maintain it's temperature for 30 to 50 hours, depending on the ambient temperature and the payload components.
If a longer duration is necessary, open the unit and replace with a cooling/heat source.
Each LifeBox50 is tested prior to leaving the Factory however it is recommended that a trial be conducted by its user in a typical work environment, with it's intended payload, for a duration no less than a typical shift.
